If you type the phrase "dating service" into Google, you would
get approximately 154,000,000 search results. But there are only a few big
ones. There are Match.com, eHarmony, and now singlesnet.com. On the
singlesnet.com homepage, it claims that it gets more visitors than eHarmony or
Match.com, at least according to hitwise.com, as of December 2008. Given that
the information provided is over two years old, it should be taken with a grain
of salt. But there are some similarities and differences between the three
sites.
As for the actual interface, SinglesnetMature has the standard features of a
dating website. A person can view a person's profile, e-mail them; and "flirt"
with them, which is like a wink on match.com. Match.com and Singlesnet are very
similar in their process for making a profile. Both take about 10 minutes, and
are somewhat superficial. It does not have eHarmony's intensive process where
you are asked on over two dozen categories. All three of them have functions to
put up as many pictures as one would like. Most people put up at most five
pictures. However, some people put up over ten pictures.
For the money, SinglesnetMature is a lot cheaper than
Match.com or eHarmony. For a year of Singlesnet, it costs just under $90. For
Match.com or eHarmony, it is easily twice as much. It costs over $100 for six
months on Match.com, and even more for the same on eHarmony. So it is up to the
user to decided which is best.
